We are four humble men who love sports, but hate sports commentary. Peter Gammons is our hero and John Madden is our enemy. If you were to ask us our purpose, our answer would be simple: "We are forever locked in Mortal Kombat for the souls of sports fans everywhere. Statistics are our science and 'the immeasurable character of men' is the obsolete religion of blind faith. Our job is to prove that God doesn't exist and that athletes are merely cold, metal machines with no hearts or souls."

Cubs convention starts Friday
The Chicago Cubs annual convention starts this Friday and will last three days. There are many current and former players attending in addition to the coaching staff. Some of the headliners are: Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Fergie Jenkins, Ryne Sandberg, Alfonso Soriano, Geovany Soto, Ryan Dempster, Milton Bradley, Kevin Gregg, Aaron Miles, Joey Gathright, Neal Cotts, Mike Fontenot, Rich Harden, Reed Johnson, Carlos Marmol, Sean Marshall, Jeff Samardzija, Ryan Theriot, Carlos Zambrano, and the coaching staff. Also some past Cubs who will be there are: Glenn Beckert, Bill Buckner, Jose Cardenal, Jody Davis, Bob Dernier, Leon Durham, Doug Glanville, Randy Hundley, Keith Moreland, Rick Reuschel, Scott Sanderson, Lee Smith and Tim Stoddard.During those three days I usually stay glued to Sports Central on WGN radio which usually broadcast live from the convention and have many guests on during those days. There will also be many articles when things get revealed, which they usually do. We usually learn the batting order Lou is thinking of, the rotation or some of it, depth chart at certain positions and other things. It will be interesting to see what we learn. One day I hope to go to the Cubs convention. I think it would be a great experience. If anyone does go, please post about it.
