Can 2009 Cubs comeback from behind?

Can 2009 Cubs comeback from behind?

The 2008 Chicago Cubs were good at coming back from behind in games. How many come from behind victories do you think the Cubs managed in 2008? The 2008 Cubs had a great group of players which didn’t care about the score and could rally no matter the deficit. I don’t know if this team can do it after the way they played today and the sloppy play. Let’s hope they start playing better. The Cubs managed 44 come from behind wins in 2008.

  1. "coming back from behind"- no matter what sport, is not a magical skill teams have. If a team is good, they will win no matter what the situation is.

Let's say in one game the Cubs score three runs and their opponent scores two. If the Cubs score all three in the first or the last- it doesn't matter. Scoring three in the 9th may have the appearance of being more impressive but it reality, all it is is just appearances and has nothing to do with anything

Not only that, the season is not even a week old, jesus christ. Even if coming from behind was anything all that impressive, you can't tell anything about any team after four games

Also, Kerry Wood much much much better than Kevin Gregg

  2. having a lot of come from behind wins actually means your team sucks, because they are constantly behind late in games. Not a good thing. Also, all teams have dramatic wins at the end. It's not a skill, nor clutchiness, but simply odds that it will happen eventually.

Also, i believe wood gave up 6 runs in his first two or three outings last year so lets not burn Gregg at the stake quite yet.

Did you hear Hawk during the inning hte twins scored all those runs. He just kept repeating "theres another hit" over and over again. Kinda amusing.

  3. The season is still early so we will see. Last year they had chemistry and wouldn't let anything bother them. So far this year all I have seen is a lot of sloppy play.

I thought I liked Gregg when they made the trade, but after watching him this week, I am not impressed. I still think it was a good move to not overpay for Kerry Wood. Gregg reminds me of Rod Beck, but worse.

  4. Do you remember how bad wood was in the beginning of last season and he turned out ok. just look at the back of gregg's baseball card and those are the numbers he will put up this year. Plus we havent played at home yet, so you cant be that mad they blew a couple leads on the road
