We are four humble men who love sports, but hate sports commentary. Peter Gammons is our hero and John Madden is our enemy. If you were to ask us our purpose, our answer would be simple: "We are forever locked in Mortal Kombat for the souls of sports fans everywhere. Statistics are our science and 'the immeasurable character of men' is the obsolete religion of blind faith. Our job is to prove that God doesn't exist and that athletes are merely cold, metal machines with no hearts or souls."

Go to Wrigley in Winter
Last year the NHL had the Winter Classic at Wrigley field. Briefly they allowed the public to go ice skating on this rink. So this winter they are building an ice skating rink west of Wrigley Field in a parking lot along Clark Street. They are calling this "The Rink at Wrigley" which is sponsored by many including the Ricketts family. Admission is $10 per adult and $6 per child. The Rink at Wrigley will be open December 15 through February 2010.
My question is why isn't the rink actually at Wrigley? I would go if it was in Wrigley Field like the ice rink was last year for the NHL Winter Classic. Here they call it "The Rink at Wrigley" but it isn’t at Wrigley!
Wow, i get to stake at a rink NEAR wrigley field. We have 10 outdoor rinks within 10 miles of BG, which i spend all of my winter breaks at, as i will do this winter, so why would i pay money to stake at a rink that you probably cant even see wrigley.
ReplyDeleteI actually didnt know Wrigley did that last year, unless it was only for a day or 2. I actually would have gone for sure. I was skating everyday anyway
I didn't get it either. I could see paying to skate at Wrigley field, but in a parking lot nearby and then they call it "The Rink at Wrigley"! So much is wrong with that.
