We are four humble men who love sports, but hate sports commentary. Peter Gammons is our hero and John Madden is our enemy. If you were to ask us our purpose, our answer would be simple: "We are forever locked in Mortal Kombat for the souls of sports fans everywhere. Statistics are our science and 'the immeasurable character of men' is the obsolete religion of blind faith. Our job is to prove that God doesn't exist and that athletes are merely cold, metal machines with no hearts or souls."

Justin Morneau? That's my first guess but I don't think it's right
ReplyDeleteAlso, what about Paul Konerko? He gets a lot of ABs, that HR total seems to be right, he's been in league past 2002 (but I dont quite know what FRAR is), but I can't imagine he had one year better than Pujols...
ReplyDeleteNope and nope
ReplyDeleteTorii Hunter?
ReplyDeleteNope
ReplyDeleteif it wasnt for the home runs, the answer would be J-Roll
ReplyDeleteI'm not gonna give it away to everyone else, but he's already made $10 million this year
ReplyDeleteNope and either say the name or dont TBO
ReplyDeleteThis player will make as much in 2010 as he did in 2005
ReplyDeleteI was just talking to TBO and it came out. I brought up this player’s team, and the batting order because I thought it could have some interesting scenarios with the changes they made this off season. When I mentioned his name he was “are you sure he is good enough to bat 5th?” and then when he asked me “how many homeruns” I think he averages and then I brought up his great season he had before his last free agency and I figured it out. This was after me racking my brains and having no idea.
ReplyDeleteThis conversation made me think that he doesn’t deserve e to get paid as much as he did. He got his last contract because he does have great defense and was coming off a monster year batting .334, 48 homeruns, 104 runs, 121 rbi, 20 hits, and he was around 26 when he singed so you thought he could get better or maintain something close to that. He never even had a year close to that one. He is still a very good defender and a good hitter, but not that good.
Additional hint: this player made Cubsfan4ever lose a bet
ReplyDeleteOh, and TBO and Cubsfan4ever got it. I'll give sexyrexy 1 more guess before I reveal the player's true identity
ReplyDeleteYes it did make me lose a bet!
