Joakim Noah was drafted by the Chicago Bulls 9th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft. I was not a big fan of drafting him at the time because I didn't think he would be good in the NBA. My colleague TBO didn't like him for other reasons. When I looked at the Bulls centers before the season started I did like his defensive numbersin a limited role, but looked at Brad Miller for being a bigger option for the Bulls at Center. I did think Noah would have good numbers with more playing time but I did not think he would be this good.
In the two months of this NBA season Noah has stepped up to be the leader of the team. Yes, Rose is better and the best player we have, but he is on the quiet side and not that vocal leader which Noah has become on the court and off by being comical relief.
Noah has quietly put together a very good season and he is one of the few bright spots on the team. This season he is averaging a double double with 10.5 PPG and 12.40 PPG. You have often heard the Bulls and media say we need a guy like Carlos Bozer, Chirs Bosh, or Admare Stoudmire because we need a guy who can score inside and be that double double guy. Noah may not be a great offensive force, but he is a double double guy that many people keep saying the Bulls need, but no one talks that we already have one. Noah is also second in the league in rebounds behind Dwight Howard. So Noah may not make it to the NBA all star team, but he should as Dwight Howard's back up. So do your part and try to vote him in!

Lebron James and Noah Have Words
Friday night at the Bulls game Lebron James was at the free throw line shooting foul shots. All of a sudden he started exchanging words with Joakim Noah on the Bulls bench. Then James just started walking over to the Bulls bench and many players/coaches started breaking it up. The announcer’s in the clip below blame the Bulls bench and coaching staff for not containing Noah. Why are they getting on Noah and not Lebron because he was the one who started walking over to Noah?

Noah just learning meaning of "Circus Trip"
The Chicago Bulls are starting their annual “Circus trip” tonight. Every year it comes toward the beginning of the season. The other day Joakim Noah learned why it is called the “Circus trip”. I guess third year players who have emerged as one of your team’s best player doesn’t know everything yet. Last night I saw the video on television about how he learned about it. It was pretty funny to see how serious he was when he said why he thought it was called the “Circus trip”. I looked online, but couldn’t find the video. So keep an eye out for it on T.V. and Comcast Sports net. You can read about it in the Daily Herald.

Joakim Noah played collegiate basketball for the University of Florida. He had a great college career starting on two Gators' teams that won the 2006 and 2007 NCAA Tournaments. Then he was drafted 9th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. Last season Noah started 55 games down the stretch of the Bulls playoff run and he showed that with more playing time he will get rebounds and a make a few shots per game. He also blocked more shots with more playing time. I am not a big fan of Noah. He reminds me of Reggie Evans, which means that if he gets the playing time he will get rebounds and a few points, but is not anything spectacular. I think Brad Miller is better, but think it is better to bring him off the bench this way there is some scoring with the second unit.

The Bulls starting center looks to be Joakim Noah. Noah will be entering his third season in the NBA and with the Bulls. Noah is known more as a defensive player only averaging 6.7 PPG so far in his two year career. He does average 1.1 BPG, 0.8 SPG, and 6.6 RPG. He will be backed up by veteran Brad Miller who is in his second stint with the Bulls entering his 12th season in the NBA. Brad Miller is a good shooter and scorer. Miller will be a big part of the Bulls success coming off the bench with the second team. Kirk Hinrich and Brad Miller are the only two veterans coming off the bench and they will need to carry the Bulls offensively while the starters are resting. The third string center is Aaron Gray whom the Bulls just re-signed to a one year deal. He will be entering his third season with the Bulls. Gray is the only true center the Bulls have and has the big body to go against other true centers in the league. He needs to improve a lot to be a factor though.
