At least i can now shave off my playoff beard..or not

  • Corey Crawford deserves to advance to round 2, the rest can go home
  • The level of clutchness cannot be measured, but unfortunately the final score can
  • I cant watch sports movies because they are fake, sports are real. Thats the point
  • Anyone who questions why sports even exists, the answer is simple. If they didnt, men would still compete, probably to the death. This way there at least exists rules
  • This is also why most women do not, and really should not get sports. The only thing they really need to compete for is the right sperm(not to graphic i hope)
  • Catharsis is probably not the best way to manage stress, especially with fragile things around..but
  • Playoff sports is like watching the greatest horror movie ever with a plastic bag over your head while while getting kneed in the groin. All the pepto in the world wont do you any good
  • For 10 years i had no clue what good hockey was, because i never saw it. Thanks to Kane and Toews, i now do
  • And no, i am not shaving off this beauty. It's too sweet!

So How Did Those Blackhawks Trades Work Out?

After the most amazing, spectacular, unbelievable playoff run in sports history, the Blackhawks were forced to gut their roster for the purposes of staying under the hard salary cup that the NHL emposes. With Kane and Toews both signing long term contracts worth 6 mil per, and Keith, Hossa, and Campbell already making the big bucks, there simply was not enough money to go around under the 59 million salary cap. And while everyone inticipated a couple of our beloved Blackhawks getting shipped away, no one could imagine that Stan Bowman would literraly gut half the team. So lets take a look at how the former Hawks have performed with their new teams.

Dustin Byfuglien - 16 goals, 41 points in 48 games. Previous career high of 36 points
Kris Versteeg - 12 goals, 31 points in 41 games
Andrew Ladd - 16 goals, 38 points in 48 games
John Madden - 7 goals, 15 points in 45 games
Ben Eager - 3 goals, 10 points in 34 games
Martin havlat - 13 goals, 43 points in 47 games - exiled in 2008
Antti Niemi - 11-13-2 2.79GAA 91%

As we can see, everyone outside of Antti Niemi is having a career season and flourishing in their increased role on their new teams. Bittersweat

Not To Ruin The Ending...But It Was AWESOME!

The Blackhawks Know How To Party

The Blackhawks recently got embarrassed on the ice against the Vancouver Canucks, but they more then made up for it the limo after-party. Yes, you may call this somewhat gay as there are 3 half naked men in the back of the limo, but considering they shower together every day, it's actually a step up. And there are 1.5 attractive girls with them...

Marian Hossa baseball goal

I'm Thankful For The Blackhawks...Oh And Other Stuff

Marian Hossa debuted for the Blackhawks on Wednesday and contributed 2 goals to the Blackhawks' thrashing of the reigning Presidents' cup winners the San Jose Sharks. The Blackhawks scored the first 3 goals shorthanded and followed that with 4 more even strength goals. Despite giving up 2 soft goals at the end of the game, it was still a mighty impressive 7-2 win.

If anyone is in the Hockey spirit, Millenium Park has already opened their ice rink for the winter. Or if that is too far, there are plenty of flooded rinks in the 'burbs that you can get your skate on. I know what i'll be doing over the winter.
