Allen Iverson has played with the Philadelphia 76ers for four games so far this season. In those four games (all starts) he has averaged 34.5 minutes, .429 from the field, 4.0 assists, and 15.5 points. He is the 4th highest scorer for the team and is looking better after a slow start where he showed his rust. We know what Iverson thinks of practice so he looked very rusty at first, but better as of late with two 20 point games.
I think Iverson would have been better playing for a contender and being a scorer off the bench or going to a bubble team that needs offense, but he seems content. Many teams need scoring and he is cheap option. The Bulls could have used his scoring, because they need a shooter badly. Iverson's days of being the best offensive player on his team and leading the league in scoring are all in the past, but he is showing that he still has something left in the tank.

Iverson Second Tour With The 76ers
GOI has been following Allen Iverson when he signed with the Memphis Grizzlies through the period he was considering retirement after not realizing he would not be starting for them.
Then the Grizzlies released him and he considered a offer from the Nicks which didn't work out. So then he announced his retirement which no one believed. Then when Louis Williams went down his old team, the Philadelphia 76ers where he spent most of his career came calling.
Last night Iverson made his debut for the second time with the 76ers. He started and played 38 minutes in his first game of the season. Iverson hasn't been with a team most of the season being sent home by the Grizzlies after three games. We know Iverson was never big on practice, so I doubt he did at all this season. Allen Iverson Going Back To The 76ers?
I have been following the Allen Iverson saga sinche he signed with memphis and then was released. Then he said he was retiring which I never believed. Now he is a free agent looking for a new team. It was rumored the Nicks were thimking of signing him, but they changed their minds. Now it is being rumored that the Philadelphia 76ers offered him a conranct. I never thought he would go back. The Philadelphia 76ers have been struggling recently and could use a point guard loosing Andre Miller to free agency. Even though I would argue that Iverson never was and never will be a point guard. This could be an intresting fit for both sides.
