The Worst General Manager In Baseball Competition (round 3)

Bad trades, bad signings, bad drafting. Terrible GM's run amok in the world of baseball. Jim Beattie, Woody Woodward, Dave Littlefield, Randy Smith, Steve Phillips. Yes, Baseball has had some terrible GMs running major franchises, often into the ground. But of those persisting at the beginning of 2009, who can we say is the worst? There are 30 current GMs across 6 divisions. Some are too new to evaluate, so we're using their predecessors.

Round 2 of voting was pretty standard. As expected, Ed Wade, Omar Minaya, Brian Sabean, Dayton Moore and J.P. Riccardi all move on to round 3. Shocking enough, Dave Dombrowski, who edged out Kenny Williams last round, gets knocked out by a huge margin. The NL had a tight race for the bottom which ended in a tie for the fourth spot between Kevin Towers and Jim Hendry. Oddly enough, Billy Beane will move on...again...which saddens me.

Now we enter round 3 of voting. In round 3, everyone is to cast two votes for worst GM of each league. The two GMs with the most votes for "worst GM" in each league will move on to round 4, the playoffs. Voting for round 3 will be open until March 20. You can cast your vote by clicking the giant blue link atop the page or by clicking HERE.
