Today is National Signing Day where top high school recruits in football get to officially sign on the dotted line and choose the school where they will be abusing co-eds... I mean opposing conference teams for the next 3-4 years. Jadeveon Clowney is the top recruit this year, hailing from South Carolina at a Lebron-ish 6 foot 6, 250 pounds and runs a 4.60 40 yard dash. He played tail back and defensive end in high school and projects as the next Julius Peppers. Based on this video of him from high school, he looks better that Peppers already, and may be ready for the NFL as we speak. Too bad he has to play 3 years in college, cause I would be all for the Bears using that 30th pick on this freak of nature. OMG just look at this!

Don't get me wrong, this Clowney kid looks great and if you're projected to be the recruit out of high school then you'll probably be amazing in the pros, but I'm not going to say he's draft ready based upon this highlight reel. I'd like to see what he does in college against an opponent where EVERYONE has gone through puberty. Look at these highlights, he's like two heads taller than everyone else!
top recruits since 2002
vince young, reggie bush, AD, derrick williams, percy harvin, jimmie clausen, terrell prior
i think he has a shot
I'm sure he'll be a first round pick, but let's let him develop in college first.
And if he's the Reggie Bush of defensive ends then I'll pass
his rivals info page has mario williams as a comparable player. i'll take that
