Considering:
1) that Nelson Cruz has missed half the season and is probably still on my active roster for that league without replacement,
2) Ian Kinsler missed a month and he was left on the active roster without replacement,
3) Gordon Beckham is still on that roster, despite the fact that I got rid of him by mid-april in every league and i would have dropped him by now and replaced him,
4) Mike Gonzalez was never replaced,
5) Chris davis is probably still a starter on my team
6) Carlos Quentin is probably still on my team and starting,
yeah, being in last place makes sense.
Any free agency moves would easily have boosted me up to the top 4 of the league
so the fact that you traded away Beckham for David Wright and Kinsler for Chase Utley and god knows what for Hanley and Strassburg and whatever other ridiculous trades you have made had NOTHING to do with why you're in second?
1) That was not the trade for either of those players at all. Way to omit the fact that i also gave u guys like Jon Lester and Max Scherzer and make it look like I just ripped people off.
2) Hanley is hitting .240 with 3 HR since I got him. Jeters been a better shortstop this year.
And i could have made plenty of quality FA plays to be in just as good of a position. You know, things like picking up lance berkman off waivers :). Or the Colby Lewis machine, etc.
Plus, the problem with this league is that nobody stays pat with what they drafted. Players get injured, are ineffective. Plus, there are off days.
Plus, you're going to max out my innings indiscriminately before September
