Mike Stanton currently has 29 strikeouts in 61 PA. That's a ridiculous 47.5% K clip, well beyond the bench mark set by such strikeout kings as and Chris Davis, Carlos Pena, Adam Dunn, Mark Reynolds, Rob Deer and even Russell Branyan. At this pace, if Mike Stanton were to somehow accumulate 631 PA, he would also accrue 300 strikeouts, blowing Mark Reynolds 223 single season strikeout record out of the water.
On another note, Dallas McPherson and Brandon Wood called. They want their career back.
Paging Mike Stanton

He is not looking like some of the other top rookies that have come up this season like Posey, Santana and Strausburg. He does remind me a lot of Dallas McPherson and Brandon Wood so I don't know if he will be a great outfield like Heyward.
Stanton has always been a strike out king- esp. this year in the minors. His striking out twice every game should be no surprise to anyone.
