VH1 Hip Hop Honors

It is safe to say I was not impressed by Sexy Rexy's latest post about the top 10 singles of the year. Mainly because anything other than rap sounds like a garbage disposal to me, and partly because i think Jay-Z ripped off Nas' "NY State of Mind" with "Empire State of Mind". I recently watched the annual VH1 Hip Hop Honors show, where this year they honored men who revolutionized hip hop in different regions of the country. Examples include Timbaland from Virginia Beach, Jermaine Dupri from Hotlanta, and Master P from New Orleans. The show as a whole was entertaining, but two performances stood out from the pack.

1) This was the honorary performance for record producer J. Prince featuring The Game, Juvenile (who tore up the place), and Drake (who is starting to grow on me)

2) The second performance was the Jermaine Dupri honorary performance featuring Dupri, Lil Bow Wow (who is still little), Dem Franchize Boyz, Lil Jon, and P. Diddy (who I'm pretty sure was the only rapper lip singing, cause he's too rich to actually do his own singing)
