Abdul-Jabbar has leukemia

One of the best NBA players ever, Kareem Abdul-Jabba who is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and won the MVP award six times has a rare form of Leukemia. I guess he was diagnosed last December with chronic myeloid leukemia, but just told the media yesterday.
His condition can be treated and he is doing fine taking an oral medication for the disease. Abdul-Jabbar is a special assistant with the Lakers and he said his leukemia has not affected his job.
