Today is a great today in the world of football! On ESPN, I see on the scroll that:

JOHN MADDEN HAS RETIRED FROM BROADCASTING!!!

FINALLY, while John Madden may have been a great coach (although not THAT great considering he had a shit ton of great Raiders teams and only won ONE Superbowl, but I'll give him his props he was really really good...) and has been immortalized on the best and favorite football video game ever. But his announcing was just god awful. In fact, in our mission statement we say "John Madden is the enemy". He's so bad a strong suggestion for this site was firejohnmadden.com. John Madden was only a good announcer if you were an alien and had absolutely no idea what the game of football was(Although then you'd be confused on who the hell Brett Favre is...). But even guys like MVP Eckstein, who have no knowledge really on football, get upset at Madden's obvious commentary. If the Announcing Trifecta From Hell is like nails on a chalkboard then John Maddon is like a damn drill going directly in your eye. Even Maddon's commentary in his game are annoying as shit. I'm so happy I don't have to hear him anymore!

P.S. Tony Kornheiser on PTI just said that John Madden is the most beloved announcer in sports. And there's a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you. And Kornheiser just said how smart Madden was! What!? Jesus Christ- this PTI debate is just as dumb as John Madden explaining what a first down is.
